Overview:
Dalia Ziada, an Egyptian Muslim, is one the main “Egyptian” voices producing positive messaging for Israel in social media. She presents Israel not as an enemy but as suitable ally for Egypt and other Arab countries. She is a beneficiary of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP), the de-facto AIPAC-funded think-tank of the US-based Zionist lobby.
Ziada openly states that she is interested in traveling to Israel, despite Egyptian public opinion prevents her from doing such. Israeli newspapers and media commonly use Dalia’s statements with the aim of promoting propaganda in line with Israeli interests. Ziada enjoys connections with other infamous normalization agents known to receive funding from the Israeli government, such as the WINEP-connected Linda Menuhin.
Ziada is currently the director of shady outfits such as the “Liberal Democracy Institute” and “Middle East and Eastern Mediterranean Studies“. It is not clear how these centers are funded. However, these groups are interestingly similar with other outfits set up by WINEP & AIPAC. Joseph Braude’s WINEP-funded “Center for Peace Communications” serves as one example.
In order to justify and support Israel, Dalia also seeks to promote concepts such as “peace and liberal democracy” in Egypt. She consequently uses her position a member of the Foreign Relations Committee of the National Council of Women in Egypt for dubious purposes.
Israel Lover
Dalia openly spoke about her interest in Israel while appearing on Shalom TV channel. She adds that she would like to travel to Israel. She also emphasizes the line that she is “saddened” that Jews cannot return to their “homes” in Egypt.

In addition to defending Israel, Dalia makes great efforts to improve the view of Egyptian public opinion towards Israel. For example, in October 2023, when the Houthis of Yemen launched a missile attack on Israel border bases near Egypt, Ziada condemned such acts and claimed that Israel and Egypt’s security to be interdependent. She also praises instances where Egypt and Israel have cooperated in stifling the Gaza Strip.1

Israel’s Confidant
Israeli media and newspapers usually publish Dalia’s commentary on various events for propaganda purposes. For example, two Israeli news sites cited Dalia’s Twitter posts to publish news about the October 2023 war between Hamas and Israel.2 3
It is worth noting that some Israeli officials even follow her social media accounts. The Israeli ambassador to Greece, Noam Katz, is one such example.

Cooperating with Zionist Lobby
Ziada is a beneficiary of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP), the de-facto AIPAC-funded think-tank of the US-based Zionist lobby. Her cooperation with WINEP is not accidental at all, but it can be said that it is the result of several years of investment by the Zionists in the past years. For example, Herb Horowitz, president of the American Jewish Association (AJC) in New Jersey conducted an interview with Dalia in 2013. In this interview, she confirms Israel’s behavior in the region and considers it as a reasonable act.
