Ebtesam Al-Ketbi is a policy expert who has worked for numerous shady think tanks in the field of regional and global affairs analysis and strategic recommendations.
Al-Ketbi was among those who shamelessly declared her full support for a 2020 deal between the UAE and the Zionist occupation, dressing it as the “best move toward creating peace, stability, and security for the region and its people”. She tweeted that the Abraham Accords is a great achievement that “reflects the maturity of the countries involved, and may lead to a different Middle East if there is a US administration committed to reducing tensions and settling conflicts in the region”.
Ketbi consequentially operates as an arm of the Zionist lobby in the UAE, attempting to legitimize the Zionist ethnostate within Emirati intellectual circles.

Furthermore, Al-Ketbi – regarded as one of the UAE’s intellectuals – is commonly featured by the Israeli newspaper “Yediot Aharonot” as a platform for expressing her support for Israel, where she whitewashes Arab political relations with the Zionist regime as setting ground for “dialogue”.1
In addition, in her remarks, Al-Ketbi emphasizes the need of embracing Israelis and their public opinion, as if they are legitimate habitants of the Palestinian territories they have systematically cleansed. The Palestinian people and their public opinion, despite the common rhetoric, are effectively neglected despite promises to “pursue justice and peace”.
Connection with Israeli Orgs.
Al-Ketbi also has an inescapable connection with Israeli think tanks and policy institutions. In 2023, she attended the annual Herzeliya conference, one of the key political and security conferences in Israel attended by various high-level Israeli figures. Ketbi has also repeatedly attended Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) event, a top-level Israeli think tank in the national security field.
Al-Ketbi also has a blatant relationship with Israeli figures active in the 2020 Abraham Accords, both with Israeli official and with the broader Israeli intelligentsia.
