Anti-Russia Influence Operations in Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky used to play as a comedian in the TV channel 1+1, owned by Kolomoisky. Kolomoisky used his media empire to ensure Zelensky’s ascension to the presidency.2
In 2014, Kolomoisky offered $10000 for the capture of each pro-Russia “saboteur”. He has also contributed to the creation of many “nationalist” paramilitary groups fighting against Russia and Russia-backed forces such as the Dnipro Battalion, Aidar, Azov, Dnepr 1, Dnepr 2 and the Donbas volunteer battalions.3
