Ira Rennert

Overview:

Ira Rennert is an American junk bond trader and CEO of Renco investment group. Ira Leon Rennert ranks 29th among “the World’s Richest Jews”, according to the Jerusalem Post. Rennert is a permanent donor to a wide number of Zionist-Jewish organizations. The Rennert Entrepreneurial Institute has also invested much in Jewish educational facilities in Israel.

The American bond trader is also listed in Netanyahu’s leaked 2007 potential campaign funders list, dubbed Netanyahu’s “list of millionaires“. Rennert’s name is written next to some 70 other Jewish Zionist millionaires, most of which reside outside Israel as part of Israel’s international web of lobbyists and power brokers¹.

Investments in Israel

Rennert was also one of the main donors behind the construction of a Jewish neighborhood in the Muslim quarter in east Jerusalem (Sheikh Jarrah). In 2009, he pledged $25.4 million over five years.

This Zionist investment mogul has also helped fund the construction and operation of several religious centers in the occupied territories, including:

• The Western Wall Heritage Foundation in Jerusalem
• Rabbi Aharon Bina’s Yeshiva (religious college) in Israel
• The Netiv Aryeh religious seminary

Among some of the most notable religious Zionist centers funded by the Rennert family is the Ingeborg Rennert Center for Jerusalem Studies at the Bar-Ilan University.
