Overview:
Josh Block is an American Zionist agitator. He is an adjunct fellow at the Hudson Institute with expertise in foreign policy, political strategy, and communications. He also writes regularly for the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, the LA Times, the Jerusalem Post, and PBS Newshour.
Born in a Jewish American family, Block has a long history of working with various think tanks and organizations in the US, with a notably persistent focus on ensuring Israel’s international and American interests. Block’s public profile does not fit with the cliché of the Zionist financier lobbyist – however, more precisely – corresponds with that of a policy lobbyist focused on “consensus building” within US foreign policy elite. Block has hence revolved through a long list of influential foreign policy organizations, going as far as blurring the lines between America’s bipartisan political environment at the behest of his Zionist affiliations and beliefs.

Under the Bill Clinton’s presidency, Block was a spokesman for the US State Department’s Agency for International Development (USAID).1

The Israel Project
Block also served as the chief executive officer & president of The Israel Project from 2012-2019. The Israel Project is a pro-Israel media project designed to promote positive views towards Israel in the US. It was founded by Jennifer Mizrahi. While operating in The Israel Project, Block was focused on portraying Israel’s crimes against Palestinians as complex political issues that need to be ultimately interpreted in Israel’s favor. His target audience were mainly journalists, diplomats, elected officials, and the wider public.
Jewish Institute for National Security of America (JINSA)
Block has also worked as a senior fellow at the Jewish Institute for National Security of America (JINSA), an influential Zionist think tank pushing notable philo-semetic Christians such as the Lutheran John Bolton and the evangelist Michael Richard Pompeo into the US State Department.
