Mikhail Prokhorov is a Russian-Israeli oligarch who owns Norilsk Nickel, extracting the biggest amount of nickel and palladium. He owned it through the privatization of metal assets in Russia after the collapse of the Soviet Union, buying it far below market value. He also leads a Russian political party called the “Civic Platform”.
In Israel, he owns two private hospitals. After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Prokhorov decided to migrate to Israel.1
