Overview:
Nasser Khalili is a British billionaire and art collector born in a Jewish Iranian family. He is a known art collector focused on collecting and studying Islamic art. His art collection is valued at around $1.5 billion.
Calling for ‘coexistence’ Under Banner of Zionist Occupation
Khalili was a graduate student at London University’s School of Oriental and African Studies, where he later established the country’s first academic chair in Islamic art.1 His “Khalili Foundation” claims to promote dialogue and co-existence between Jews and Muslims. The foundation is interestingly active in the West Bank, specifically seeking to encourage Palestinian Muslims to embrace Zionist occupation under the name of “religious harmony”, “interfaith dialogue” and “Abrahamic religions”.
Deep Zionist Ties
It is worth noting that despite running a religious “interfaith” cover for Muslim recognition of the Zionist occupation, Khalili’s open ties to the Israeli establishment are not hidden. Khalili is a trustee of the city of Jerusalem and a close friend of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.2 The British billionaire has donated to Netanyahu’s Knesset campaign in at least once publicly traceable occasion, in 2007.3
Interestingly, Khalili’s wife, Marion Easton, is a donator to the British Conservative Party.
