Overview:
Nina Rosenwald is a Jewish American magnate who owns Sears Roebuck and the William Rosenwald Family Fund. She is also the CEO of the American Securities investing firm and president of the conservative Gatestone Institute think tank.
Despite maintaining a low profile, Rosenwald’s carefully placed funds are clearly an attempt to socially engineer conservative segments of western societies towards defending Israel as a “Western ideal”.
Israel First
Nina Rosenwald, like many other Jewish American billionaires, puts Israel above American interests. She donates to various conservative and right-wing pro-Israel groups in the US. She currently serves on the boards of the pro-Israel Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America (CAMERA), the Israeli think tank Institute for National Security Studies (INSS), and the American Friends of the Open University of Israel which raises funds for Israeli students. She also donates to the Israeli Ariel University located in occupied Palestine.
Rosenwald served on the board of directors of several pro-Israel organizations such as Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP), American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the Hudson Institute and was vice president of Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA). JINSA is known for its hawkish and warmongering pro-Israel policies. She received the Louis Brandeis Award from the oldest Zionist lobby group in the US, the Zionist Organization of America, for her services to Israel and American Zionist Jewry. The Brandeis Award is usually given to very prominent and influential Zionists across the American political spectrum, including names such as Miriam Adelson, Ronald Lauder, Mortimer Zuckerman and Frank Gaffney.1
Illegal Settlements
Nina Rosenwald and her family fund are major donors to certain hardcore Zionist organizations which support and encourage building illegal settlements in Palestine. She funds the Beit El Yeshiva in the West Bank. The Beit El Yeshiva is an Israeli organization which teaches Jews how to build illegal settlements and outposts and defy Israeli government orders regarding any illegal settlements in occupied Palestine. She also donates to the Central Fund of Israel which is the main organization transferring Jewish donations from the US to the Israeli fundamentalists who expand illegal settlements in Palestine.
The ‘Sugar Mama’ of Islamophobia
Nina Rosenwald is one of the main Jewish funders of anti-Islam rhetoric and Islamophobia in the US and the Western nations. In a prevailing trend in the last two decades, many Zionist lobbyists seek to capitalize on American and European immigration and terrorism woes in order to gain support for Israel as a bulwark against “the Islamist horde”. This strategy stems from a strategic initiative to undermine the Palestinian cause among western societies and instead shore up support for Israel as a native western cause. Figures and institutions funded by individuals such as Rosenwald portray Muslims as barbarian terrorists trying to forcibly convert Western nations to Islam and impose harsh Sharia laws on them. This argument seeks to whitewash Israeli crimes by portraying Zionists as a civilized people adhering to Western “Judeo-Christian” values and painting Palestinians as an inherently barbaric and savage, unworthy of humanity.
Max Blumenthal called Rosenwald “the sugar mama of Islamophobia” in an article in The Nation magazine. Rosenwald plays a major role funding almost every anti-Islam organization, most of which are headed by Zionist Jews. Rosenwald’s Gatestone Institute is one of the most hostile think tanks towards Muslims in the US. Rosenwald funds other anti-Islam organizations such as:
• The Center for Security Policy founded by Frank Gaffney
• The Middle East Forum founded by Daniel Pipes
• Project ijtihad headed by Irshad Manji
• The American Islamic Forum for Democracy founded by Zuhdi Jasser
• Clarion Project founded by Israeli Raphael Shore
• The neoconservative Hudson Institute
Rosenwald has also given money to some notorious anti-Islam agitators such as David Horowitz and Brigitte Gabriel.
Funding Europe’s Zionist “New Right”
Nina Rosenwald isn’t only focused on promoting Islamophobia in the US. She also bankrolls anti-Islam hysteria in European countries. Zionist Jewish anti-Islam agitator, Daniel Pipes funded the infamous far-right anti-Islam thug Tommy Robinson through his Middle East Forum (MEF), funded in-turn by Rosenwald. MEF promoted Tommy Robinson among American Zionist influencers and paid for his rallies in the UK.2 Rosenwald’s Gatestone Institute has also regarded him positively and published successive articles supporting him, portraying him as a “patriot”.3
Rosenwald has supported other European anti-Islam figures such as the Dutch politician Geert Wilders. She has hosted a fundraiser event for the blatant pro-Israel figure in the US. Rosenwald’s Gatestone Institute is known to have paid for Wilder’s flights during travels in the US. While Wilders has received funding from Rosenwald, both individuals are mainly financially supported by Jewish American Zionist tycoon, Robert Shillman.
