Overview:
Ján Ludvík Hyman Binyamin Hoch was a British Zionist media mogul, member of parliament, Mossad operative and fraudster born in Czechoslovakia. He changed his name to Ian Robert Maxwell after migrating to the UK.
Labour MP George Galloway has named Maxwell as “one of the worst criminals of the century”.1
Media Mogul
Maxwell owned many media outlets and prominent publishers such as the Mirror Group Newspaper, British Printing Corporation, Macmillan Publishers and Pergamon Press. Through ownership of Mirror Group Newspapers he ran many famous British newspapers such as the Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror, The Sunday People, Daily Express, Sunday Express, Daily Star, Daily Star Sunday.
Weapons shipments to Israel
Maxwell played an important role lobbying for the Communist Czechoslovakian regime to arm Israel during the Israeli-Arab 1948 war, which resulted in Arab defeat and the further entrenchment of the Israeli regime.2
A Triple Agent
He has also been suspected of being a triple agent working for MI6, KGB and Mossad.3 Ari Ben-Menasche, a former member of the Israeli Military Intelligence Directorate, revealed a few days before Maxwell’s death that he was a Mossad agent.
Role in the Capture of Israeli Atomic Whistleblower
According to Ben-Menasche, it was Maxwell who reported the identity of Israeli atomic whistleblower Mordechai Vanunu to Mossad. Mordechai Vanunu is an Israeli whistleblower who revealed the existence of the Israeli nuclear weapons to The Sunday Times and the Daily Mirror. Both papers were owned by Maxwell, who passed on this information to the Mossad. Vanunu was abducted by the Mossad in Italy.4 5
Suspicious Death
Maxwell mysteriously drowned when he was spending his holiday in his personal yacht. He died after his connection to Israel and the Soviet Union was discovered. He was buried in Jerusalem. Six serving and former heads of Israeli intelligence services alongside then-Israeli President Chaim Herzog and then-Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir attended Maxwell’s lavish funeral in Israel, while Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir said that “He has done more for Israel than can today be told.”6
Relation to the Epstein Case
His daughter, Ghislaine Maxwell, is an infamous British socialite who was revealed to be Jeffery Epstein’s accomplice in his sex trafficking network.
