Overview:
Roz Rothstein is an American Zionist operative who is the founder and CEO of StandWithUs. Roz Rothstein was born in a Jewish family.
In her youth, Rothstein was also a member of Bnei Akiva, one of the largest religious Zionist youth movements in the world. She later became member of the board of directors in her neighborhood synagogue Temple Emanu-El and Temple Isiah.1
StandWithUs
Roz Rothstein founded StandWithUs in 2001 during the Second Palestinian Intifada in order to drum-up American support for Israel, with a focus on California. StandWithUs activity later expanded to US colleges and gained funding by Zionist tycoons such as Adam Milstein and Naty Saidoff.2 StandWithUS has since grown under Rothstein’s leadership, opening 18 offices in various countries and cooperating with the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Due to her role as a de-facto arm for the Israeli Foreign Ministry under StandWithUS, The Forward Magazine has twice named her one of the 50 most influential Jews in America, once in 2011 and again in 2016. The Jerusalem Post has also named her as one of “the 50 most influential Jews in the world”.3
JewBelong
Rothstein also supports a Zionist initiative called JewBelong, which seeks to smear anti-Zionism by equating it with antisemitism. JewBelong uses billboards around cities to promote Zionist propaganda.4
