Samuel Zell is a Zionist Jewish American billionaire who owns Equity Group Investments, a private investment firm. In 2021, Zell had an estimated net worth of US $6.0 billion, according to Forbes1. He held a controlling share in the Tribune Company which was comprised of many famous newspapers such as the Chicago Tribune and the Los Angeles Times.
Zell is a major donor to conservative Israeli causes and is described as a “committed Zionist” and a “generous supporter of Israel”. He donated $3.1 million to the Herzliya Interdisciplinary Center (currently rebranded as Reichman University), an elite governance school in Israel. Zell’s name is also listed in Netanyahu’s leaked 2007 potential campaign funders list, dubbed Netanyahu’s “list of millionaires”. His name is written next to some 70 other Jewish Zionist millionaires, most of which reside outside Israel as part of Israel’s international web of lobbyists and power brokers.3
