Overview:
The UAE-UK Business Council (UUBC) was set up to boost the two countries’ existing $ 18 billion trade. The council seeks to facilitate bilateral trade by attracting cooperation and reducing tariffs.
The representatives of Britain and the UAE are Lord Udny-Lister and Lord Udny-Lister, respectively. Lord Udny-Lister is the envoy and former adviser to the British Prime Minister on the Persian Gulf, and al-Sayegh is the Minister of the Interior and the director of the Abu Dhabi World Trade Center.

Interestingly, despite being established about a decade ago, the UUBC became active mostly after the Abraham Accords was signed between Israel and the UAE in 2020. The British background of many members of the UAE-Israel Business Council may also be related to the operations of the UUBC.
The UAE-Israel Business Council is the central and largest economic organization formed in the field of UAE/Israel economic relations. Concurrent with the activities of the UUBC, the council began operations immediately after the Abraham Accords. Its formation is part of the Israeli regime’s push to counter its growing international isolation by normalizing relations with despotic Arab regimes.
