Trevor Pears is a British Jewish businessman who co-founded one of the largest property companies in the UK, the William Pears Group, along with his brothers. Pears also leads the Pears Foundation, a pro-Israel lobby and charity organization countering pro-Palestinian activism in the name of “anti-Semitism”. His grandfather was Bernard Schleicher who migrated from Austria to Britain and changed his surname to Pears.
Trevor has said that 20% of his wealth is spent in Israel. Pears also donates to the Conservative Party, donating £ 20000 to the David Cameron Tory leadership campaign in one instance.1 He has been appointed as Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George for his service in “improving UK-Israel relations”.2
